She began her career in 1988 in an office that was recognized for excellence as "Office of the Decade" for the 1980's and 1990's for the MRINetwork and where she was named "Most Promising Newcomer" in her rookie year. Glenda was recruited to go into physician search in 1992, where she worked in locum tenens recruitment at Medical Doctor Associates (MDA) then gained experience in retained search with two industry leaders, Jackson & Coker and Cejka & Company (now Cejka Search).
Based on her track record, Glenda was asked to create a physician recruitment department to aid in the growth and expansion of one of the nation's premier children's hospitals. As Director of Physician Recruitment for Egleston Children's Hospital at Emory University, she developed and ran the physician recruitment department for the $225 million healthcare system that included a 235-bed, not-for-profit children's teaching hospital and 22 satellite clinics. Within 13 months, she successfully beat deadlines and recruited 35 physicians, and came in 75% under budget for marketing and advertising.
In 1999, Glenda received a call from her first employer and mentor in the business asking her to open an office for one of the world's largest and most successful search and recruitment organizations. She eventually purchased the business she started in 2003 then grew the firm to #20 in revenue out of 1,100 offices worldwide. Her firm was named one of the Best Places to Work in Dallas-Fort Worth for two consecutive years and named the #3 Best Small Company and #6 recruiting firm in the DFW metro area (based upon annual placement volume).
With the depth and breadth of her experience, Glenda has now chosen to direct her energy back into where her true passion lies – helping the physicians, hospitals and medical groups within pediatrics and pediatric sub-specialties with their search needs. Her desire is to spend her time and expertise helping others and filling needs that will help children in the communities her clients serve.
Glenda also serves on the board of the Dallas All Sports Association (DASA) and is the head of their scholarship committee.
